Welcome to 11th St James Hill Scout Group
We’re Scouts and everyone is welcome here. We believe in preparing young people with Skills for Life. We encourage young people to do more, learn more and be more.
We offer 6 to 14-year-olds fun and challenging activities, unique experiences, everyday adventure and the chance to help others so that we make a positive impact in communities.
The 11th St James Hill is a popular group and is run entirely by volunteers. We meet in the Scout Hut at Mere Green Road, Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands B75 5BW. We are also known as 11th Sutton Coldfield East, or 143rd Birmingham.
Our active group consists of:
Beavers – they are the first and youngest Section in the Scouting family. Young people can join Beaver Scouts in the three months leading up to their sixth birthday.
We run two Beavers groups. You can join either a Wednesday or Thursday pack, who meet from 6.30pm to 7.30pm.
Cubs – Children can join Cubs between 8 and 8.5 years old.
We run two Cub packs. Can join either on Monday or Tuesday evenings and they meet at 7pm to 8.30pm
Scouts – Join Scouts from 10.5 years to 14 years old.
St James Hill runs one popular Scout troup who meet on a Friday evening, from 7.30–9.15pm.
All groups meet in term times only.
